ACTIVITY
The wellbeing of our children
and young people relies in part on healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.
Children have special nutritional needs yet they are one of the most vulnerable
groups in our community. Our service works with whanau to ensure
they have the information they need to encourage healthy choices and healthy
kai.
Physical activity
and learning requires proper nutrition, energy, endurance and concentration.
To this end we promote youth involvement in activities such as kapa haka,
touch and horse sports. We also support Te Aiotanga o Te Urupuia,
a Mâori martial arts initiative.
