OUR PARTNERS/TE AO HOU TRUST:

Te Tâpenakara Mô Te Iwi Trust is based in Waiohau and is an established Mâori provider of health and disability services.  They work with Te Kaokao o Takapau to assist in the development of a Mâori Health Promotion Service in injury prevention, reducing whânau violence, and providing Te Reo Maori health promotion resources to the local community.

The Hinepukohurangi Trust is an established Mâori provider of health and disability services in Ruatâhuna.  They work with Te Kaokao o Takapau to assist in the development and distribution of Te Reo Mâori health promotion resources to local marae and Kohanga Reo in Ruatâhuna; and through local panui, the iwi radio station and static displays at marae hui.

Te Ao Hou Trust was established in 2003 to meet the health needs and aspirations of the people within the rural Eastern Bay of Plenty – for resilient, knowledgeable, nurtured,  engaged  whânau; and to  provide a pathway to inform whânau,  by enabling choice, guidance, re-evaluation and  celebration of their journey. The Bay of Plenty District Health Board funds and provides health and disability support services for the 200,000 people living in this region.  Te Kaokao o Takapau is contracted by the DHB to provide specific services to Tûhoe communities.
