HEALTH
Our kuia and koroua play
an important role in our whânau, hapû and iwi. As part of our
community based service, we visit kaumâtua in their homes; provide
disability support and transport; ensure they have access to and receive
the assistance they need from Govt services and other agencies; and run
clinics to advise and improve their health knowledge.
Hîopeope Kaumâtua
incorporates our social and recreational activities for kaumâtua
including physical fitness programmes, mirimiri, whakawhanaungatanga, wânanga,
tribal hui, kaumâtua balls and travel.
